Solar Design Engineer

We’re working with a leading energy technology provider that has established a dedicated Renewable Division to support the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions across residential, commercial and industrial sectors, currently seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join their fast-paced and rapidly expanding Renewables Commercial Team.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving commercial success by working on large-scale tenders and detailed quotations for solar energy projects. You’ll be responsible for creating accurate and professional solar designs, helping shape solutions that meet our customers’ energy needs. Day-to-day, you’ll collaborate with experienced Category Managers and Corporate Sales Managers to ensure our proposals are competitive, well-structured, and aligned with client expectations. You’ll also be involved in supplier negotiations, helping secure the best terms and pricing, and will attend commercial meetings alongside Group and Branch Managers to stay aligned with wider business goals. This role offers a unique chance to engage with a broad range of stakeholders — from internal departments and Directors to our valued customers and supplier partners. We’re looking for individuals who demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow. You’ll be joining a highly supportive team with over 500 years of combined experience in the industry, offering a wealth of knowledge and mentorship to help you develop your skills and thrive in your role.
