vento ludens is presently involved in developing a broad range of renewable energy projects for our future renewable energy needs.
HISTORY
vento ludens is part of a family owned international group of companies, comprising LUDO FACT GmbH, Ludo PACKT GmbH and Walcher & Rees GmbH. LUDO FACT is the biggest independent manufacturer of board games and jigsaws in Europe, LUDO PACKT is a logistics provider and the printing plant Walcher & Rees is among the top provider of cards and labels production in Europe.
vento ludens was founded in 1996 in Bavaria, Germany. The UK office has been working on renewable energy projects since 2005 and more recently our office in Switzerland was opened in 2008. Overall we have 40 team members across all three countries with 14 based in the inspiring city of Edinburgh. In 2013 an office was opened in Bristol. The Bristol team focuses on the development of solar projects.
Our first UK wind farm at Muirake in Aberdeenshire became operational at the end of 2011, and in August 2012 we were granted consent for the 21 MW Edintore Wind Farm near Keith in Moray.
vento ludens currently also has a number of renewable energy projects at various stages of development throughout the UK.

As a conscientious developer we make every effort to ensure that our projects are sympathetic to their surrounding landscapes and that only those that are environmentally suitable are progressed through the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process.

In project development we focus on working with suppliers that have a proven track record of delivering excellence in their products. Balancing the best technology available, which maximises electricity production and is sensitive to the land, is our ultimate aim.
