I am working closely with a London-based sustainability consultancy, specialising within green infrastructure and urban biodiversity, seeking a Principal Consultant to aid on project management and technical delivery for operations across the Southeast.
Following a highly successful start to the year, an experienced Ecologist to offer project management responsibilities to cover the increase workload. You will report to the Director of Ecology, covering Planning-related ecology projects and line managing junior staff in the London HQ, therefore ideally you will be in office for at least 2 days per week, to ensure junior consultants receive adequate contact time.

Qualifications / Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant field e.g. Geography, Environmental Sciences, Ecology (or similar).
* 6 years’ experience on UK Ecological Surveying (non-linear infrastructure experience is highly advantageous).
* Completion of relevant surveys & reports; PEAs / UK Habs / HRAs / BNG etc
* Passionate on developing junior staff members, through training, mentorship and supporting through relevant qualifications.
* CIEEM, CEnv or Cecol are highly desirable.
* Expert understanding of BNG, Natural Capital and Nature Based Solutions.
* Highly organised and ability to work autonomously is essential.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Client experience is highly advantageous.
