Salary – Min £25k to Max £32k plus excellent benefits

Place Partnership Ltd is a young, dynamic and growing property services Company, based in Worcester. Established as the first multi-agency joint property vehicle of its kind in the UK to deliver a wide range of diverse property services including strategic asset management, property management, facilities management, project management and energy management to our public sector partners, across Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Warwickshire.


We have a new opportunity for an experienced Energy Officer to join our small Energy team based in Worcester. Working to the Energy Manager you support the delivery of energy management and efficiency initiatives across the client portfolio. You will play an active role in the implementation, monitoring, targeting of measures designed to reduce energy, water consumption and carbon emissions across the client portfolio.  Key accountabilities include:

• To collect data on energy use, report the results and recommend energy improvement measures to all relevant parties.  

• To input and process electronic energy consumption data and develop a range of reports, to provide monitoring and targeting information to clients.

• To process, extract, analyse and verify the accuracy of data received from clients, energy buying consortia and utility suppliers.

• To undertake effective energy audits/surveys of property and then produce accurate, quality reports detailing the improvements necessary to reduce energy consumption/cut carbon emissions.

• To evaluate and report on energy trends and to produce prioritised schedules of remedial action.

• To operate and use appropriate technology systems (BEMS and other systems) to provide an effective energy service, maintaining all necessary records relevant to projects and the operation of the energy efficiency service. 

• To provide high quality, responsive and professional specialist technical advice/support to clients on energy and carbon reduction related matters. To assist partners, clients, schools and other premises managers in applications for energy grants.

• To implement energy savings projects using available funding. To track projects to provide feedback to Partners, Clients, and business groups within Place Partnership.

• To provide updates and regular presentations on energy efficiency. 


Qualified to HNC/HND level or level 4 standard or equivalent and you will have demonstrable experience relating to energy, environmental, building services or controls-related discipline. Ideally you will be a member of the Energy Institute. You will have an expert knowledge and understanding of energy monitoring and targeting systems and will have an aptitude for data analysis and interrogation.  You will posses excellent communication skills including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external partners. You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and will have the ability to meet key deadlines.  Above all you will be a self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude with a real drive to deliver.
