Savills is looking to recruit a senior team member to spearhead the energy and heat network market opportunities that exist across the property sector, in particular from Savills extensive client base.  There are large growth opportunities in this market both through competitive tenders and Savills existing network. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping deliver a heat network strategy within the Savills Energy Team and to lead/develop a team that can serve a national client base.


• Build on our existing client relationships
• Liaise and cultivate good relationships with clients, colleagues and fellow professionals
• Manage and co-ordinate tender responses for consultancy services to local authorities, government agencies and other organisations
• Attend management meetings in London and Scotland
• Responsible for budget management and forecasting
• Draw up, present and negotiate competitive proposals
• Take responsibility for projects from the earliest stages through to completion
• Develop creative and original solutions to satisfy all parties
• Write complex reports, interpreting data and making clear and relevant recommendations
• Prepare/make presentations at meetings
• Communicate and negotiate effectively with clients and colleagues
• Effective financial management of projects to ensure profitable delivery
• Management of junior staff (with successful growth of the team)
• Maintain an awareness of market conditions and the impact of government policies
• Keep informed about documents relating to relevant policy and practise
• Attend external events to create local contacts and identify business opportunities
• Develop relationships with ESCo/heat network providers and strategic partners


• Ideally 7 years’ experience in the energy sector including the delivery of complex energy projects, e.g. district heating networks
• Detail conscious, accurate
• Thrives under pressure, can work to tight deadlines
• Strives to deliver an exceptional level of service to clients at all times
• Numerical and analytic skills, preferably including modelling expertise (usually in Excel)
• Consultancy experience (strongly desirable)
• Expertise in successfully managing projects and teams to budget and programme (essential)
• Ideally a member of a relevant Energy Industry Body
• Confident and professional appearance and approach
• Flexible worker – willing to travel
• Candidate must be able to multi task, and take a pro-active and hands on approach as well as being reliable, professional and willing to go the extra mile
• Confident and effective communicator with an ability to present and communicate information and analysis in a logical and engaging way.
• Personal skills suited to working with a team environment – good team player.

We are currently recruiting for a London based role but other locations will be considered for the right candidate.
