Environmental Scientist - Sustainable Business Strategy

We do this by slotting seamlessly into their teams and integrating sustainability into the core strategy that drives the organisation, not as a standalone peripheral document. 


What will you be doing? 

Some Examples Of Potential Projects Include 

·         Helping clients reimagine their purpose as a force for good in the world 

·         Advising clients on updating their existing business strategies to account for the emerging sustainability agenda 

·         Redesigning operating models across industry value chains 

·         Supporting clients to implement changes across their operations and value chains 

·         Supporting clients through their Sustainability change journey and embedding Sustainability into the heart of organisational culture 

·         Establishing environmental and social impact baselines 

·         Identifying opportunities to reduce impact as much as possible (rather than incrementally) 

What are we looking for? 

Your Experience And Skills Could Include 

We’re currently looking for consultants to fill senior subject matter expert roles (you’ll likely have at least 7 years’ experience). Don’t worry about being an exact match with the points below; if you’ve got the skills we are after, we would love to talk to you. 

·         An environmental or social sciences degree 

·         At least 7 years’ experience working in industry or consulting across the most pressing social and/or environmental challenges facing business 

·         Experience advising companies on social and environmental topics on the Sustainability agenda 

·         Strong communication and client engagement skills 

·         Experience of complex systemic changes 

A specialism in at least one of the following environmental topics: 

·         Deforestation / land-use change 

·         Water use and pollution (hydrologist, hydrogeologist) 

·         Agronomy 

·         Greenhouse gas emissions, climate change 

·         Carbon sequestration
